To service your garage door, we recommend you regularly lubricate the rollers, the door guides/tracks, the hinges, and the operator rail about every three months.

Try lubricating the door and its major parts (see FAQ "How do I service my garage door?"). If it's still making those weird sounds even after lubrication, give us a call! We'll come check it out for you.

We highly advise against trying to repair your overhead door on your own. Overhead doors consist of very large metal pieces and torsion springs under pressure, and one wrong move could result in major injury or even death. The safest solution to fixing a garage door is to call a professional to handle the repairs. Hodges can help!

You will need a professional to come out and look over your door's build to see if it's storm-ready. Generally, a garage door must come straight from the factory and the manufacturer with extra reinforcements added to the door sections and hardware in order for it to be denoted "Certified Storm Ready". This overhead door should be installed by a professional.

You can always just replace a section. Most overhead doors come standard with four panels. However, it's usually easier to just replace the entire door if you're looking to replace more than two sections.
